Online Tajweed Course
Online Tajweed Course
Course Description
The Online Tajweed Course is a comprehensive learning experience designed to help learners master the correct pronunciation of Arabic words. The course begins with an introduction to Arabic phonetics, giving learners the foundational knowledge to distinguish between accurate and incorrect pronunciation. To further reinforce understanding, practical examples, interactive activities, and exercises are used throughout the curriculum to assist in creating mental maps of the material covered. This way, students can gain an intuitive grasp of the language even as they learn its rules.
Course Structure
The Online Tajweed Course curriculum has 4 Modules:
- Module 1: Focusing on learning the Arabic language including developing and strengthening familiarity with the letters of the Arabic Alphabet. Students will practice their identification of the different forms of each letter, depending on its position in a word, as well as gain proficiency in recognizing and pronouncing subtle nuances between similar letters. With this knowledge, students can achieve independence in reading words and sentences from the Quran (Mushaf), leading to a more meaningful experience with its spiritual guidance.
- Module 2 of this course will introduce the foundational components of Tajweed, which is the practice of proper recitation and intonation of the Quran. Students will learn how to properly pronounce Noon Saakin, Tanween, MeemSaakin, Moodud (extended sounds), Ghunnah (nasal sounds), and Qalqalah (echoing sounds). With a thorough understanding of these principles, students can develop their skills in reciting the Quran with accuracy and fluency.
- Module 3 delves into the intricacies of Tajweed, which encompasses a wide range of guidelines for the accurate recitation of the Quran. Students will learn about the appropriate way to start and end a recitation and the proper use of extensions and pauses. Additionally, they will gain an understanding of letter-specific rules such as Izhaar and Ikhfa, along with their relationship to one another.
- In module 4, students take their recitation to the next level by applying all rules of Tajweed to two parts of the Quran. This includes covering verses from both Juz’ Amma and JuzTabarak. Through this program, learners perfect their recitation, analyze word structure and understand the intricate rules behind Tajweed in detail. Additionally, they gain an understanding of how recitation relates to a Surah’s meaning and its associated vocabulary. Upon completion of this program, students are eligible to apply for our Ijazah Program.
