Course Description
Quran Advanced Course is designed for those individuals who have attained a more advanced level of Arabic language knowledge, such as being able to read, listen to, and write the language proficiently. This course will help participants gain an Ijazaha (certification of competence in Qur’anic recitation) as well as hone their comprehension and application of Tajweed (correct articulation and pronunciation) and Quran Hifz (memorization). Beyond that, this program is intent on enhancing the reading and writing proficiency of participants through rigorous practice. Additionally, there will be a focus on delving deeper into the Tajweed rules and applying them throughout the Holy Quran book. The goal is to build a comprehensive understanding of the material to fully appreciate its beauty. Practical exercises such as story-telling, debates, group projects, or oral presentations may be included in the course curriculum to further reinforce learning objectives. After this advanced course program students are expected to have acquired an expert command of the Qur’anic text along with a heightened respect for its timeless message.
Course Structure
The Quran Advanced Course will be divided into several modules, each lasting approximately one month. In each module, students will study the rules of tajweed, learn advanced Quran to apply the principles to their reading and recitation, practice their memorization skills, and become confident in their understanding of Qur’anic interpretation. Each session should include lectures and discussions on the principles of tajweed, practice drills in recitation and memorization, and the implementation of a practical component such as debates or story-telling.
At the end of each module, assessments will be given to evaluate mastery of the material presented during that session. Those who complete all modules will receive an Ijazaha as a certification of their knowledge and comprehension. The course will also feature guest lectures from scholars and experts in the field, as well as interactive activities to reinforce learning objectives. Students should be prepared to devote up to 8 hours a week to complete this intensive program.
By the end of the Quran Advanced Course, participants should have attained an expert understanding of the Qur’an and its timeless message. Additionally, they will gain a deeper appreciation for the beauty of language found in this sacred text.
